Set up in 2001, the .NAME universal domain name extension is the only one intended for personal websites only. These domains can include personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other labels people are popular by. At the beginning, only third-level registrations were permitted, so if you wanted to register john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already bought third-level domains remained working.

Through our company, you can buy your .NAME domain for a period between one and ten years. You will have the opportunity to change the WHOIS information, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already purchased domain to our firm if you have its EPP transfer authorization key from the present domain provider and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been finished. There are no particular terms on who can secure a .NAME domain, but in order to maintain the concept behind its creation alive, the .NAME Registry organization may verify who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration can be challenged.
